Towing with the Mercedes Benz C-Class
Towing is not a concern with the C-Class as trailer coupling is standard. The trailer coupling can be folded out when towing needs to be done and folded back in once it is done towing. The trailer coupling has a 13-pin socket, so connecting a 7-pin trailer would require an adapter or an adapter cable. The rear-view camera has a special trailer model which provides guidelines on the screen to aid in connecting a trailer to the trailer coupling of the vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz features the ESP trailer stabilization program, which minimizes oscillations detected when a trailer is towed to prevent swerving of the vehicle/trailer combination.
