The Subaru WRX is not made for towing.
The Subaru WRX STI and WRX are designed with turbocharged engines, performance-oriented engines, all-wheel drive, and stiffly sprung suspensions. Both these models of Subaru come with a varying range of performance. On one side where the WRX model appears more exciting to the daily driver, WRX STI is designed more like a real race car.
The new version of WRX was launched in the year 2015 and it was inspired by Impreza Sedan. However, this model received more attention in the market due to the turbocharged flat-4 engine, all-wheel-drive system, and right reinforcement. Other than this, the WRX model is loaded with a 2.0 liter turbo-4 including an intercooler, twin-scroll turbocharging, and net 268 horsepower.
The vehicle is further coupled to achieve 6-speed manual transmission with a continuously variable transmission system. You can access different flavors of efficient all-wheel drive as they vary depending upon transmission.
The advanced programming leads to enhanced performance with the quick-shifting dual-clutch gearbox. The WRX also promises improved design with a sport-tuned suspension, electric power steering, and all riding 45-series, 17- inch tires. You can also invest in the 18-inch wheel model of this car.
Subaru WRX is currently available with three variants and all of them contain 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer four-pot. The output of these cars is 258 lb-ft of torque and it is loaded with the standard manual gearbox that permits six-speed controls.
The turbocharged mill further leads to a great power boost. The suspension system and chassis work together to create an ultimate driving experience on different kinds of roads. It can cover the small imperfections on the road while dealing with large bumps very well.
Engine, performance, and comfort
Unfortunately, the gas mileage of this model is not so good. The official EPA ratings offer the score of 18 mpg for the city, 24 mpg for highway, and 21 for the combined cycles with the support of an average 2.0-liter turbo. Furthermore, the manual transmissions are capable enough to enhance the score by a considerable level with 21mpg, 27 mpg, and 23 mpg for each cycle respectively. The 15.9 gallons of the gas tank can support the estimated range of 356 miles with ease.
The Subaru WRX is designed with an attractive interior to offer enhanced comfort to the riders. The seats are comfortable and supportive with easy access to additional features such as heated seats and a head-up display. WRX seats accommodate five individuals very well while offering plenty of headroom and legroom.
