Can Nissan Titan Tow a Travel Trailer or Popup Camper?

The Nissan Titan can tow a max of 11, 040 lbs. It has the capacity to pull most any camper.

Note, average weights of travel trailers 7300 lbs, popups 2500 lbs, teardrops 1200 lbs.

Nissan has made a plethora of upgrades to its lineup of full-size pickup trucks.

The Titan is Nissan’s mightiest puller, boasting a towing capacity of 9370 lbs. The TITAN XD takes it up a notch, towing up to 11,040 lbs.

Each Titan is powered by the powerful 5.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) DOHC 32-valve V8 engine.

If you use 91-octane premium gasoline, the V8 engine generates 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. However, if you opt for the cheaper 87-octane fuel, the engine’s output comes down to 390 horsepower and a torque rating of 394 lb-ft.

Part of the reason the latest Titan is a formidable tower is that Nissan has switched to 9-speed automatic transmission from the previous 7-speed setup. You can take your pick from S and SV trim levels, as well as King Cab and Crew Cab body styles.
